Beloved Son, Brother, Grandson,
Nephew, Cousin and Friend

Our son Jesse
strived his entire life for normalcy. His young life was filled with 911 calls and
hospital visits brought on by out-of-control blood sugars. Jesse was diagnosed
with Type-1 diabetes when he was 7 months old. When he arrived at Peoria's St.
Francis Hospital his glucose count was 1100 and he was in a coma. He went
"code-blue", but they were able to revive him. We knew we almost lost him then! Jesse still holds the highest blood
sugar ever recorded at St. Francis.
Diabetes does not take
a vacation. Jesse lived and dealt with his disease 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week, never once getting a break!
Jesse didn't tell new
friends he was a juvenile diabetic because he wanted to make friends on his own
merit, not by pity. He just wanted to be normal.
Moving back to
Denver in early July of 2006 gave Jesse the chance to fulfill his dream... he
was back in the mountains he loved... he was finally HOME.

Canyon)
Sadly, on 29 Sep 2006, Jesse was found in his apartment, dead as a result of
"Diabetic Ketoacidosis".
